Texas-based company Presidio Investors has acquired 100 per cent of Hellas Verona, completing a takeover from former owner Maurizio Setti.

United States private equity firm Presidio Investors has completed a deal to buy struggling Italian club Hellas Verona from Italian entrepreneur Maurizio Setti, the Serie A side said on in a statement on its website on Wednesday.

Paolo Zanetti will welcome back Suat Serdar and Jackson Tchatchoua, after they were suspended for Verona's trip to Naples, and young defender Daniele Ghilardi should recover from the knock that ruled him out last week. Once again, Martin Frese, Juan Cruz and Abdou Harroui are all unavailable due to injury.

Verona has become the eighth club in Serie A to be under American ownership after Presidio Investors took full control on Wednesday.

Verona announced: “Presidio Investors, an Austin, Texas-based private equity firm, and Maurizio Setti are pleased to announce that Presidio has acquired 100% ownership of Hellas Verona Football Club. “Presidio is committed to building upon the foundation created by Mr. Setti during his leadership of the Club over the past thirteen seasons.
