As the Florida Gators prepare for a highly anticipated 2025 season, head coach Billy Napier has reportedly hired the son of a UF legend with a wealth of college football coaching experience. The Gators had an opening following the departure of Dan Enos, who served as a special assistant to the head coach, to coach quarterbacks at Wake Forest.
Defensively, UF made a splash by adding former Alabama safety and NFL assistant Vinnie Sunseri, who will serve as co-defensive coordinator and coach safeties. Sunseri will hold the keys alongside Robert Bala, who came over from Washington to be co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Florida, & Clemson It was disappointing for the Gators, especially since their offensive linemen were all older. What makes this more disappointing is Napier's relationship with the family.
Steve Spurrier Jr. will reportedly join the Florida Gators staff for the 2025 season. On Wednesday, On3's Zach Abolverdi reported that the Gators have hired him as the new analyst via X (formerly Twitter). Spurrier Jr. replaces Dan Enos, who has taken up an analyst role with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
