At its largest, A-76A measured approximately 3,500 km² (about 1,350 square miles) soon after it broke off from the main A-76 iceberg in May 2021.

And, what a sound it is. In 2005, the 76-mile-long and 17-mile-wide iceberg B-15A in Antarctica collided with a shoal, breaking the iceberg into several pieces during the course of five hours.
