The 28 U.S. figure skating community members who died included athletes, parents and coaches across five clubs.

The March 2 event at Capital One Arena will feature current U.S. figure skating champions as well as retired gold medalists.

Six of those killed in a mid-air collision in Washington, D.C., had ties to the Skating Club of Boston in Norwood.
