The Houston Rockets are trading Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards for two second-round picks, sources told ESPN.

A Whitmore trade was expected — his place in Houston's lineup appeared to be pretty much nonexistent. Tari Eason emerged as a clear building block last year, plus the team extened Jabari Smith Jr. and added Kevin Durant and Dorian Finney-Smith this summer. That's a lot of traffic on the wings, leaving Whitmore as the odd man out.
