Minnesota Vikings assistant coach Daronte Jones interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ vacant defensive coordinator position on Monday.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Jaguars are interviewing Minnesota Vikings defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator Daronte Jones on Monday for their defensive coordinator position.

As Jacksonville Jaguars coach Liam Coen gets set to be introduced Monday, he and the franchise are already beginning assistant coach interviews.

The Jaguars interviewed one of the league's best defensive minds as a part of their extensive head coaching search.

In 2023, Udinski was promoted to assistant quarterbacks coach and he has since worked closely with the likes of Kirk Cousins, Sam Darnold, Josh Dobbs, and Nick Mullens. The Vikings have created the perfect atmosphere for quarterback development, which obviously would be ideal for the Jaguars to attempt to mirror under Coen.
