Returning fire two days after Army announced their 101st Airborne at Bastogne uniform, Navy Football dropped their uniform for the 2024 Army-Navy Game.

During the 125th annual Army-Navy Game on Dec. 14 at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Navy's uniform color blocking will “mimic the iconic color of the Jolly Rogers aircraft," the Annapolis Capital Gazette reports.

Navy football has chosen to honor the Jolly Rogers aviators, established in 1943, with its uniform design for the Dec. 14 Army game.

The 101st was tasked with defending Bastogne — which is printed under the right shoulder pad on Army’s jersey — the Belgian town where Germany’s siege began on Dec. 16, 1944. Encircled by Nazi forces, the “Screaming Eagles” endured three weeks of relentless close combat in freezing weather.

Navy game, paying tribute to a squadron of naval aviators with a storied legacy.Known as the Jolly Rogers, the squad was established in 1943. Their tagline is "Fear the Bones" and their callsign is Victory.
