Oh boy. We’re just over a week away from Black Friday and the OLED monitor deals are starting to pop out of the ground. We’ve seen multiple stores offering 27-inch gaming OLEDs for as little as $500, but if you want something bigger, Best Buy has this 45-inch LG ultrawide OLED monitor for $1,000. That’s an amazing $700 off its original price.

Gaming mice often prioritize high maximum DPIs when, in reality, most competitive gamers don't take advantage of these settings. However, the opposite is true with high refresh rate gaming monitors, on which esports pros prefer playing at 144Hz or higher.

The UltraGear 27GX790A (GX7) starts at $99.99 and features an LG Display OLED panel that the company announced during CES 202 4 earlier this year. The 2560 x 1440 resolution panel is supposed to handle the 480Hz refresh rate without dropping below 1080p resolution.

LG just revealed its fastest OLED gaming monitor yet. The UltraGear GX7 — specifically, model 27GX790A — is equipped with a 480Hz panel, allowing it to display visual content at up to 480FPS without any dropped frames. That is, of course, assuming it’s used in conjunction with a PC that’s capable of delivering such frame rates.
