Work from the DiSCo program (Discovering the Composition of Trans-Neptunian Objects) has uncovered the existence of three main groups of trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) in the outer Solar System.

It presents the evolution of the solar system through the lens of the planetesimal hypothesis, a theory suggesting that planets formed from small celestial bodies accumulating over time.
