A crash involving a jackknifed semi-trailer is causing a traffic backup on the Turner Turnpike in Jones.

The crash happened at around 5 a.m. on southbound lanes of the 215 freeway near Central Avenue, according to a news release from the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported about 2 p.m., with traffic cameras showing what appears to be a semitrailer on its side in flames.
