With his 12-year ban coming to an end on October 12th, 2024, former snooker world number five Stephen Lee has already discussed the possibility of returning to competitive action.

Lee avoided a lifetime ban and was instead suspended for 12 years, having failed to clear his name on appeal. That suspension is now over but Lee currently owes the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) £125,000 in legal fees, which must be repaid before the association decides whether he would be allowed to re-join.
