A pair of top-10 teams from the SEC lost to unranked teams on Saturday, part of a day of upsets up and down the AP Top 25 poll that reshaped the new rankings Sunday.

Both the college football rankings and the College Football Playoff picture took a sharp turn on Saturday. More than a half-dozen ranked teams took losses, leaving voters — and the selection committee — with some tough decisions when it comes to sorting out the new top 25.

Elsewhere, Iowa State held on to beat Utah 31-28 to keep its path open for the Big 12 championship game. Oklahoma State's underwhelming season continued as the Cowboys lost to Texas Tech to remain winless in Big 12 play after starting the season 3-0 in non conference play.

Georgia's brief foray outside of the top 10 of the AP Poll did not last very long. The Bulldogs, who fell outside of that range for the first time since 2020 last week, vaulted right back up to No. 8 ahead of Week 13 after a dominant 31-17 win against Tennessee.

Indiana dropped five spots in the Top 25 to the No. 10 spot in the latest AP poll released on Sunday. Naturally, given that the 10-1 Hoosiers suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, it was the first time the Hoosiers dropped in the AP Top 25 since they debuted in the poll on Sept. 29.
