Heineman was hit by a car traveling at a low speed as he crossed a street by himself not far from the team hotel shortly after the Canadiens returned from practice Monday afternoon. As lucky as Heineman was to avoid serious injury, he is still expected to miss three to four weeks with an upper-body injury.

Montreal Canadiens player Emil Heineman is expected to miss three to four weeks after being hit by a car while walking in downtown Salt Lake City a day before playing at the Utah Hockey Club. The team announced Tuesday that the 23-year-old Swedish forward was out with an upper-body injury after being involved in a pedestrian accident.

The Canadiens will be without forward Emil Heineman for the next handful of weeks after he was involved in an accident.
