The Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day is an annual tradition. Families around the world enjoy eating as much as humanely possible and then either rooting for America's Team or cheering for their downfall.

Singers Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll brought country music to the Thanksgiving halftime show on Thursday, Nov. 28 during the New York Giants-Dallas Cowboys game.

Midway through Wilson’s performance she tossed her guitar off stage and was joined by fellow country music star Jelly Roll for a duet performance of “Save Me”. Jelly Roll was nominated for the 66th Grammy’s Best New Artist award, along with being the first musical guest on the 50th season of NBC’s Saturday Night Live this fall.

The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders and Lainey Wilson gave football fans something to talk about during their Thanksgiving Day game halftime show. The country singer, 32, joined the iconic squad for a rollicking performance during halftime of the Cowboys’ game against the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday, November 28.

That being said… it still was no Dolly Parton halftime show.

Lainey Wilson is surely feeling thankful after receiving a special gift from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ daughter, Charlotte Jones. “Every cowgirl needs a pair of @dccheerleaders Boots … Especially one with a heart of gold!
