As Wicked draws big numbers at the box office, rumors of a sizable pay disparity between the movie's two lead stars have dominated the social media landscape. The film, which opened on November 22, is a big screen adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway musical Wicked,

Universal Pictures said that the studio paid Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo the same for their performances in "Wicked."

For the most part, Wicked: Part 1 is similar to the first act of the Wicked musical. Granted, it's been some time since I've seen it, but there were plenty of moments that I was expecting to happen, and they did. One of those happened to be the Ozdust Ballroom scene, where there's a shift in the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda.

Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, the movie adaptation has been in the works for years, and now it's finally a reality. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film adaptation has received critical acclaim as he and the team have captured the magic of the stage production on screen.
