FEMA indicated Wednesday that it has less than 10% of its staff available for deployment amid preparations for the second major hurricane to hit the Southeast this month.

Hurricane Milton, which is a Category 4 storm, comes less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene, also a Category 4 storm, made landfall in Florida before devastating western North Carolina.

Hurricane Milton, now a Category 4 hurricane, is taking aim at Florida's west coast. Landfall is expected late Wednesday night as a Category 3 hurricane.Milton is closing in as Floridians are still recovering from the devastation unleashed by Hurricane Helene.
