PALM SPRINGS, California (WILX) - Michigan State women’s basketball came into the opening game of the Acrisure Classic unbeaten but untested. The Spartans were tested Tuesday afternoon, trailing California by 16 points late in the third quarter before mounting a huge fourth-quarter comeback for a 78-72 win.

Michigan State women’s basketball has made the trip out to Palm Springs, California, to take part in the Acrisure Classic. In the first round, a semifinal round, the Spartans took on the Golden Bears from Cal. Overcoming a 16-point second half deficit, the Spartans were able to knock off Cal, 78-72, moving on to the championship tomorrow.
