The Trump administration announced on Tuesday that it had made “significant progress” on finalizing the contours of a roadmap for further discussions and negotiations on Vice President JD Vance’s visit to India.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance arrived in India Monday, where he is expected to talk trade with Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the two later meet.

Modi’s office said the two leaders “welcomed the significant progress in the negotiations for a mutually beneficial India-U.S. Bilateral Trade Agreement.”
