Nov. 13 (UPI) --President-elect Donald Trump has named Rep. Mike Waltz of Florida as his national security advisor, stating the first Green Beret to be elected to Congress will be "a tremendous champion of our pursuit of Peace through Strength."

Speaking to a VoA correspondent, the Florida Congressman said that Trump is interested in ending the war instead of continuing it.

President-elect Trump has selected Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) as his next national security advisor, picking a retired Army Green Beret with years of experience on defense and foreign policy.
