U.S. Senate Republicans passed President Donald Trump's massive tax-cut and spending bill on Tuesday by the narrowest of margins, advancing a package that would slash taxes, reduce social safety net programs and boost military and immigration enforcement spending while adding $3.

Republican leaders plan to begin debate at 9 a.m. Wednesday even after a growing number of lawmakers have come out against the Senate-passed version of the bill.

The measure would extend trillions of dollars in tax cuts from Trump’s first term and implement new campaign promises while spending billions on immigration enforcement.
