Vice President JD Vance was pressed on Sunday during an interview about when grocery prices would come down for Americans following President Trump's first week in office.

Vice President JD Vance said that lowering grocery prices will likely “take a little bit of time” after being pressed in a tense interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Host Margaret Brennan noted that President Donald Trump and Vance had vowed to slash grocery prices during their campaign before asking which of the 20-plus executive orders that Trump signed this past week would immediately offer Amerian consumers some relief for staggering prices.

Vice President JD Vance told CBS News that "Rome wasn't built in a day" when asked how quickly consumers might see prices fall.
