Crews escorted the missing children off Camel’s Hump mountain in Vermont early Friday to be reunited with their families.

Camp personnel called State Police at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday after the children didn’t return from what was supposed to be a 30-minute hike, authorities said.

Vermont Governor Phil Scott was in Lyndonville, in the state’s Northeast Kingdom, on Wednesday to mark the anniversaries of flooding in the state.

Three children who went missing during a hike near Camels Hump, VT were found safe and uninjured early Friday morning, authorities said.

Authorities found him with the drugs and gun after discovering he had a warrant out for his arrest charging him in a Hartford shooting.

Vermont officials are exploring the idea of creating a new convention center, a venue capable of hosting thousands in an effort to spur economic activity. With numerous hotels, restaurants, and the CityPlace development nearby, a space like the former Macy’s is among those sites that could fit the bill.
