Donovan was honored at halftime of Saturday's game against Villanova, joining 13 other Friars who've had their numbers raised to the rafters at The AMP.

Nearly 40 years after playing for Providence, legendary Friar guard Billy Donovan was honored on Saturday night by his alma mater. During halftime of Providence’s 77-65 win against Villanova, Donovan’s 34 jersey was retired.

Providence College two all-time great basketball players, Billy Donovan, class of 1987 and Britt King Class of 1986. Also honored this weekend, one of PC’s legendary women’s basketball head coaches, the late Bob Foley.
