Butterball ships some 15 million turkeys nationwide this month. Here's how the iconic poultry brand rises to the Thanksgiving holiday logistics and transportation challenges

Butterball "cook from frozen" turkeys are available at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods and Publix stores. The new offering can also be purchased at select Kroger and Kroger banner locations (such as Fred Meyer, Fry's and Ralph's) as well as select Walmart locations.

Since 1981, turkey company Butterball has offered a hotline for home chefs to call and ask experts for advice as they prepare their turkeys. Over the years, they've answered millions of questions and have expanded beyond just a phone line to accepting queries over text, email and social media as well.
