Dyshidrosis is a relatively common variant of hand dermatitis that can lead to occupational difficulty, physical discomfort, and psychological distress.

Dyshidrosis is characterized by transient (but recurrent) and often symmetrical vesicular eruptions on the palms, soles, and/or lateral aspects of the fingers.
