The school is asking that parents are diligent in knowing and explaining the consequences that will follow if their student is found with a gun on campus.

A student at Parkview High School in Gwinnett County was arrested Thursday after bringing a gun on campus, school officials said. In a letter to parents, Parkview HS Principal David T. Smith confirmed officials found an unloaded gun in a student's bookbag.
