The bursts of violence — with no reports of serious casualties — reflected the uneasy nature of the ceasefire that otherwise appeared to hold as Lebanese troops began to deploy in parts of southern Lebanon.

The Israeli military said on Friday it had attacked a mobile rocket launcher belonging to the Hezbollah militia in southern Lebanon, two days after the ceasefire came into force. The army released a video showing an exploding truck.
