A video on Nintendo’s Switch 2 website shows how the trigger (or is it a button?) on the back of the Joy-Con controllers disconnects them from the console, as spotted by Polygon.

As it turns out, one of the defining upgrades of the Nintendo Switch 2 is actually an old concept developed for the original Nintendo Switch.

Perhaps more importantly, the video shows the Joy-Con clicking onto a separate piece before going into mouse mode. This other piece looks like it has some small pads on the bottom, like a computer mouse would, to make it a little easier to slide around.

Nintendo has been showing off the new back button of the Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers and how it works ever since the first official reveal, it's just been hiding on the official Nintendo Switch 2 website this entire time.
