MINNESOTA — Two Minnesota state lawmakers were shot in apparent “targeted” incidents on Saturday that left them in grave condition, officials said, and a manhunt is now underway for the gunman. A source familiar with the matter tells ABC News that the victims are state Sen. John Hoffman and state Rep. Melissa Hortman.
It was not immediately clear who was targeted in the Saturday morning shootings in Champlin and Brooklyn Park, Minn. The police said the gunman may be wearing body armor and impersonating an officer.
A Minnesota state representative and her husband were shot and killed in their Brooklyn Park home early Saturday by an individual posing as a police officer.
