NOVI — A small group of Novi High School students is actively working to educate people on the dangers of distracted driving.

Sarah Jane Thexton died after being struck by a car driven on Oct. 3, 2024, following a crash on South Wixom Road.

Phyllis Stafford, 94, is charged with a misdemeanor after an October crash in which police said she ran over Sarah Thexton.
