In one of the biggest Xbox Game Pass release waves in recent memory, Microsoft's subscription service adds 2 Ultimate and 7 Standard games.

Microsoft has revealed that additional games will arrive in Xbox Game Pass in January for console, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, alongside some games leaving the subscription.

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup of titles. The announcement on Xbox Wire comes ahead of Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct on January 23, where fans will get to see a number of day one Game Pass games, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a mystery fourth reveal.

XBOX adds a few new games to Game Pass every month, and a few games always have to go. Three games were added to Game Pass this month, while four titles are returning to Game Pass Standard

This pass features member deals and is an excellent way to test out titles to make sure you like them before purchasing them outright.

At the top of your quests you should find one named “Tap here to play” and it should be worth 5 reward points. You might also see a quest asking you to complete a level in Jewel, too. Tapping either quest will open up Microsoft Jewel 2, which plays a lot like Bejweled.

Xbox Game Pass on Switch 2 would be amazing, but it comes with a bittersweet realization about the future of Xbox.
