For a second straight year, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce led all players in fan balloting. Kelce earned his 11th consecutive Pro Bowl nod in what might be the final year of his Hall of Fame career.

On Monday, Biff Poggi revealed the names of three "high-rep" players who will begin preparing for the NFL draft early.

"Let's make it truly a sea of red," athletic director Eddie Nuñez said of the Kinder's Texas Bowl between the No. 21 Houston Cougars and LSU at NRG Stadium. More than 55,000 tickets have already been sold for Saturday's 8:15 p.m. game, bowl organizers said Tuesday. The bowl pits teams from the Big 12 and SEC.

Edge rushers Jared Verse and Byron Young were also voted in for the event, which is conducted over several days and culminates with a flag football game on Feb. 3 in San Francisco.

Well, defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence, who was named to the Pro Bowl the past three years, was left off the list and rightfully so. Lawrence has had a famously down season. He had nine sacks in just 12 games played last season. This year, Lawrence has just a half-sack in 15 games played.

Friday through Jan. 1, the legendary Cheez-It Citrus Bowl gets its own themed pop-up bar at the Reindeer Room in Orlando’s Thornton Park.

Tackle Joe Alt, kicker Cameron Dicker, safety Derwin James Jr. and outside linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu also were chosen to represent the Chargers.

Cal's matchup against the Rainbow Warriors in the Hawaii Bowl is laced with connections forged on the island, especially for Bears quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and interim coach Nick Rolovich.
