Phones at Chad’s Towing and Recovery in Eau Claire, Wis. were ringing off the hook after factory-induced snowfall led to multiple crashes on I-94.

An unusual weather phenomenon caused in part by steam from a Wisconsin factory led to heavy snow that stretched 100 miles.

It was a murky day for Turkey Day, but along one stretch of road in western Wisconsin, "murky" was an understatement. A narrow band of snow quickly dropped three inches on drivers, even sending a semi sliding into a ditch.
