As firefighters, first responders and volunteers continue to battle the wildfires in California and provide relief for those in need, Jay Leno shared his thoughts on what the future of Los Angeles could look like.

Amid the Los Angeles fires, the former late-night host, 74, has been driving to relief sites in his own fire truck to feed the first responders. On Monday, Leno spoke with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in an impromptu interview about the disaster relief he is providing to those working around the clock to put out the blazes.

Leno told host Sandra Smith that he volunteered to serve meals to the firefighters responding to the emergency affecting the greater Los Angeles area because he didn’t want to be a part of the “blame game.
