THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM on Tuesday expelled its former Mangalapuram area secretary Madhu Mullassery from the party’s primary membership. The DYFI ousted Madhu’s son Mithun from the organisation following Madhu’s rebellion.

Former CPM leader Madhu Mullassery, who was expelled from the Left party over his rebellion, joined BJP on Wednesday. Madhu Mullasserry was reportedly ousted for his anti-party activities, according to CPM Thiruvananthapuram district secretary V Joy.

He was welcomed into the BJP by Suresh Gopi, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Tourism, and former central minister V Muraleedharan, as well as other party leaders
