Pastrnak gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead just 29 seconds into the game. Mason Lohrei gained control of the puck in the defensive zone and quickly threaded a stretch pass to Pastrnak, who skated in and beat Stolarz blocker side on a breakaway.

Mitch Marner scored his second goal of the game in the final minute of overtime, and the Toronto Maple Leafs overcame a three-goal deficit to beat the Boston Bruins 5-4.

Toronto had momentum after erasing the Bruins' three-goal lead until David Pastrnak stole the pick from Jake McCabe in the left-wing corner. With Matt Poitras cutting to the net, Pastrnak chose to keep it himself and flicked a wrist shot by Stolarz to put the Bruins head 4-3 with 9:27 left.
