The House is holding a key procedural vote to advance President Donald Trump’s agenda bill, but there’s currently not enough GOP support to move it forward, putting the bill in potential jeopardy.

Frustration within the Republican Party is coming from two camps: fiscal hawks and lawmakers representing districts that heavily rely on Medicaid.

When the Senate passed its version of Donald Trump’s giant budget-reconciliation package on Tuesday, the idea was to jam the House with it: force a rubber-stamp vote on the bill as it was in order to meet a self-imposed July 4 deadline to get the whole messy and unpopular measure onto the president’s desk.
