Memphis football has a new head coach — and a completely new coaching staff around him. Charles Huff was announced as Memphis coach in December to replace Ryan Silverfield, who left for Arkansas, but he waited until the new year to finalize the majority of his staff. Most of those announcements were made on Jan. 1.

The Tigers announced the hiring of Southern Miss coach Charles Huff on Dec. 8, choosing him as the replacement for Ryan Silverfield. The search lasted about six days after Silverfield left for Arkansas on Nov. 30.

Memphis football will face NC State in the Gasparilla Bowl on Dec. 19. The game will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Dec. 19 (1:30 p.m. CT, ESPN).
