The Raptors electing to move on from Mitchell signals their plans to give an opportunity for the youth movement to flourish in Toronto. Mitchell is a solid player, but him taking away minutes from a promising rookie like Jamal Shead does not make a lot of sense for a team in the process of rebuilding.
