Congress leaders from Wayanad handed over the election certificate of the parliamentary by-election to party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the presence of Rahul Gandhi here on Wednesday.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will take oath as the MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha Seat on November 28 (Thursday), her husband Robert Vadra said, after Congress leaders from the seat handed over the election certificate to her.

All eyes are on Kerala’s Wayanad from where Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made her poll debut, contesting the constituency’s crucial bypoll. She is leading by nearly 2 lakh votes against LDF’s Sathyan Mokeri and BJP’s Navya Haridas;

New Delhi: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday extended his congratulations to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for her remarkable victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll. “I just came to wish madam. Wayanad recorded low voter turnout at 64.72 per cent, which has raised concerns in the Congress camp that had targeted a secure victory margin of 5 lakh.
