The 22-year-old Spain international continues to be linked with a switch to the Premier League and Rodri would love to see him play in the blue and white of Man City

Rodri has revealed what player he would like Manchester City to sign – and it may come as a surprise. Rodri, 28, has not played since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during City’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal on September 22.

Rodri believes Manchester City should have no hesitation in signing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. The 22-year-old was one of Spain’s standout stars at Euro 2024 and scored the opening goal in his nation’s 2-1 win against England in the final.

Ballon d’Or winner Rodri is hopeful he will play again this season after rupturing his ACL. The Manchester City midfielder was expected to be out for the rest of the campaign following surgery in September.
