May 15, 2011 · I have toyed with the idea of an exo cage. Done right they can look really nice and work well. The only down side, they can get caught on trees and such. My buddy has a really nice exo on his S10 with 38's and air bag suspension.

Here’s a great example of a Ford Bronco II that’s not only built to be a trail rig, but also has a nicely built exo-cage to protect the vehicle and occupants during a rollover. The cage incorporates a custom swingout tire carrier to allow the rear hatch to open.

Feb 7, 2011 · Anyone know where to get a roll cage for a bronco II? I know a shop that can build and install roll cages, but they said it would be a lot easyer and cheaper (maybe safer) to buy a vehical specific roll cage and they can install it.

I would like to put an Eco cage on it, one that I would Be building my self. Not for Rock crawling smash protection, more like a oh crap moment and it rolls up in the hills. So my question, does anyone know of bronco's that have been caged, or know the process or the materials needed?

Dec 8, 2005 · The internal cage only protects whats on the inside of the cage, whatever is outside of it is going to get mashed. If you got a unibody like an xj, the whole cab is going to get bashed in, bend the support pillars and lead to a warped frame.
