Feb 1, 2022 · Clone armor was designed to protect by being strong enough to have blaster bolts not penetrate it ( not always effective as you said) Stormtrooper armor is different- it’s not designed to block bolts, but rather disperse them over the entirety of the armor. This tends to knock the wearer unconscious, but keeps them alive.

MAYBE I can accept armours that are very obviously inspired by certain Star Wars designs, like how EOD is clearly meant to be a stormtrooper, but that's where I draw the line.
