Jul 16, 2021 · Today, the park offers regular social dance events and classes in waltz, swing, contra, salsa, and more. Dances take place in the historic Spanish Ballroom, the Bumper Car Pavilion, and the recently renovated, climate-controlled Ballroom Annex.

Friday Night Dancers (FND) hosts contra dances every Friday night at Glen Echo Park, in Glen Echo, Maryland. Check the Upcoming Dances page for the callers and bands. We have a mix of local and out-of-town bands and callers.

Waltz Time is an all-volunteer group of dancers who have produced the usually twice-monthly waltzes at Glen Echo Park since 1995. The group has donated all net proceeds to the renovation of the Spanish Ballroom and the Bumper Car Pavilion, and to help continue Park programs.

Ballroom Time is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer group of dancers dedicated to the promotion of ballroom dancing. We are an Established Dance Presenter at Glen Echo Park where we produce regular Sunday afternoon dances and an Annual Ballroom Dance Gala.

The Sunday Night Contra Dance is held in Glen Echo Park, either in the Spanish Ballroom (beautifully restored to its 1933 splendor) or in the adjacent Bumper Car Pavilion. Neither of these venues are climate controlled.
