Diego is the tritagonist of the Ice Age film series. He is a sabretooth tiger who starts off as an antagonist, but soon becomes Manny and Sid's best friend and one of Peaches's adoptive uncles. He's also Shira's husband.

Ice Age is an animated film franchise from Blue Sky Studios that began in 2002. The series centers on the prehistoric misadventures of Manny the wooly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the smilodon, and Scrat, a saber-toothed squirrel (according to the director) who is constantly in pursuit of acorns.
