
Development of the Supermac Shopping Centre in Belfast
Developed by Colin and Allen Anderson of Anderson & McAuley, this 30,000sq ft store, ten shops and car park, would be known as Supermac and open in 1964. The estimated cost of the build was £150,000. The site would later be renamed as Forestside. The site for the new Supermac shopping centre would be on the corner of Hillfoot and Saintfield Roads.

Jan 19, 2013 · does anyone from belfast remember supermac? i worked there from 1989 until they closed down. best job i ever had. yip, it was quite unique when it opened--the Griddle Bar in the line of shops was a grand place to chat up birds in the mid 60's.

Supermac first opened its doors at Newtownbreda in 1964, and was NI's first out of town supermarket. It was developed by the Anderson family of Anderson & McAuley and was later demolished to make way for what is now Forrestside.

A found footage style superhero lark. Very inventive, Supermick has a funny character and funny powers. I did feel the joke about no-one recognising Mick was overplayed. It was funny the first time (and a very apt Superman/Clark Kent joke) but then you repeated it a few more times.
