the Texas Boys State Political System. Upon arrival at Boys State each citizen is assigned to one of two "fictional" political parties, which are the "Nationalists" and the "Federalists" at Texas Boys State.

What is Texas Boys State? American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program where each student becomes a part of the operation of his local, county, and state government.

First of all, a big thank you to you and your local Boys State committees — it is through your efforts that we are able to continue to run one of the most respected educational programs of government instruction for high school seniors-to-be in the state of Texas.

For 75+ years, the one week long Texas Boys State program has used the concept of “Learn by Doing” to teach incoming High School Seniors (i.e., in the summer between their Junior and Senior years) these main points:
