Having read mixed reviews of the cenote, we were happy we went - it was unique and memorable. The cavern is in an interior remote but well-traveled dirt road area. The bumpy ride there was fun. The cenote is surrounded by thick foliage and is accessed by wooden walkways and some rough rocks- wear water shoes or sneakers.
