Jan 7, 2021 · sword is better imo it's got quicker attack speed. Swords WIPE axes in DPS. For example, a diamond sword does 11.2 DPS while a diamond axe with Sharpness 3 still does 11 DPS. So always make a diamond sword with Sharpness 5 instead of a diamond axe with Sharpness 5. So sword don't beat axes, they WIPE them.

Now this sounds almost on par with the bow and arrow (but still inferior), and this FAR supersedes a Diamond Sword with sharpness V. But there is a FATAL FLAW with this enchantment.
