Here I setup to machine a 5mm x 30mm keyway and learning to use the tool table and adjusting the diameter of the cutter to sneak up on those “tenths” I’m hunting for when measuring a keway using gage blocks. I’ve got the program proven and a few complete shafts. I did not have any 3/16” or other compatible size Carbide endmills so I used a 3/16” high speed steel two flute to get this done.
